Suggested Course Sequence
Below you will find the suggested sequence of mathematics/statistics courses for students intending to major in Mathematics or Statistics with AP credit for calculus and/or statistics.

If a student has credit for ST210/ST265, s/he takes the regular sequence of MA courses. Not having to take ST210 in freshman year frees up a slot for the student to take other core/elective courses (for example, CS212).

Note: MA301, MA351, and MA395 are offered in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
* ST210 can be taken any semester. If a student is interested in statistics, taking
ST210 earlier may allow the student to get into upper level ST courses sooner.
** CS212 is strongly recommended.
*** Statistics majors are not required to take MA304.
