Undergraduate Admission Information
91³Ô¹ÏÍø’s digital media specialization of the communication and media Bachelor of Arts (BA) program can offer UArts students not only graphic design and animation & motion graphics courses but also courses on web design and development, mobile media and UX design, documentary production and documentary traditions, and many other courses of their interests (especially the interests of UArts film students): video production, podcasting, comics creation, etc.
More details on Loyola's Communication and Media program and its digital media curriculum are available online. Students can pursue a relevant Master of Arts (M.A.) if they continue with a fast-track master's program in Emerging Media.

Double Specialization in Communication and Media Program
Students interested in digital media in communication and media can also pursue another specialization, such as advertising/public relations, journalism and media and society.
Interdisciplinary Studies
- Design: Students with interest in design and art can pursue an interdisciplinary major in Communication and Media with a specialization in Digital Media + Studio Arts concentration in Visual & Performing Arts.
- Film: Students interested in film can do a major in communication and media with a specialization in digital media while pursuing a minor in film studies, jointly offered by English and Writing departments.
Experiential Learning Opportunities
In communication and media program’s digital media specialization, a student can pursue three types of experiential learning opportunities:
- Internship for credit
- Senior Capstone in Digital Media (students work on client’s projects)
- Student media experience, such as , , and
Additionally, upper-level digital media course instructors partner with on- and off-campus organizations. Such partnerships allow students to create digital content, such as graphics, promotional design, video, website for real world clients.
Labs and Student Media
Communication and Media departments’ media and learning facilities include:
- Two Mac Lab Classrooms: Adobe Creative Suite software and other multimedia application software are installed on the computers in these labs.
