Biography
Biography:
Stacy Williams is a Clinical Professor and the Teacher Education Department Chair at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø. With more than 25 years of experience in the field of education, she is dedicated to preparing teachers who will advocate for equitable and anti-racist education for all. After a career teaching high school biology and mentoring early career teachers in both public and Catholic schools, Stacy came to Loyola in 2008 to teach and supervise pre-service teachers.
During her time at Loyola, she has collaborated with local school partners to enhance our clinically-based teacher preparation programs. Under her leadership, the Teacher Education Department revised and relaunched the Masters in Special Education Program. In collaboration with Baltimore County Public Schools, the special education team participated in the Resident Design Academy with the National Center for Teacher Residencies to develop a teacher residency program for BCPS para-educators. Stacy led the Maryland Professional Development Schools Network committee in hosting annual conferences (and a virtual workshop series during the pandemic). She is a member of the National Association of School University Partnerships, where she served as a section editor for PDS Partners: Bridging Research to Practice and co-edited a themed issue with Dr. Afra Hersi, Leveraging PDS Partnerships to Cultivate Equity in Education.
Stacy also enjoys baking, crocheting, golfing, and traveling (especially to warm destinations).
