Loyola moves academic programs and offices out of Timonium Graduate Center
91勛圖厙 is closing its Timonium Graduate Center at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year and moving all academic programs and administrative offices to other locations.
The consolidation follows the expansion of facilities on Loyolas Evergreen campus in Baltimore and the increase of remote learning and hybrid work. All academic classes that are offered in person will continue to be taught in person. Students taking online courses will continue to learn online.
Were working hard to use our space as thoughtfully and effectively as possible and ensure a seamless transition for our academic programs, students, and colleagues who work in Timonium, said Terrence M. Sawyer, J.D., president of Loyola. Our goal is to meet our students where they are. We remain committed to that aspect of our Jesuit, Catholic mission moving forward.
While Loyola works to consolidate space and achieve goals related to environmental sustainability, the Universitys student body continues to grow. Two of the largest incoming first-year classes in Loyolas history enrolled in the past two years.
The Timonium Graduate Centers closure will not affect the quality of programs or size of Loyolas student body, faculty, or staff. Loyolas academic programs concluded in Timonium on May 31, 2024, and moved to the Evergreen campus in Baltimore, including space at Belvedere Square. Loyola also serves students in downtown Baltimore, where the University offers Sellinger School of Business and Management classes.
As part of the closure, the University has partnered with CBRE, a commercial real estate brokerage, as the exclusive broker for the property. CBRE is expected to begin marketing the property this summer. For any questions about the opportunity, contact CBRE through Dave Fields or Jonathan Beard at 410-244-7100.
The Timonium Graduate Center is located at 2034 Greenspring Drive in Timonium, Maryland. Loyola opened the Timonium Graduate Center in 1998 to offer graduate classes in a convenient location close to the interchange of the Baltimore Beltway and Interstate 83.
